Submission Fees and Manuscript Transmittal

SFS Member Fee: $240
Nonmember Fee: $300
Fast Track Fee: $1000

Nonmember Fee
The additional $60 in the nonmember fee gives the submitting author a one-year membership to the Society for Financial Studies. It does not include a free subscription to the journal.

Nonelectronic Submissions
Any nonelectronic submission will be charged an additional $25.

Refunds
Please see our Review Policy for information regarding refunds.

Payment Options
You may pay your submission fee by credit card or check. A submission fee must accompany your manuscript unless the fee has been explicitly waived by one of the journal’s editors.

Paying by Check
If you pay by check, your paper will not be processed until the check clears. If the check does not clear there will be an additional fee of $30 that must be paid prior to the processing of your manuscript. All checks (whether from the U.S. or elsewhere) MUST have encoding at the bottom. Banks use this string of numbers to automatically route checks to the appropriate source. If your check does not have encoding it will be returned to you, and you will be asked to send a new check. Without encoding our bank will not process your check. Checks in U.S. dollars payable against a non-U.S. bank (for example, a check written off of a German bank in U.S. dollars) are not acceptable. Checks must be written against banks with an associated U.S. branch. Acceptable checks have encoding and typically a U.S. clearing bank, such as Citibank U.S., noted somewhere on the check. Please make the check payable to “Society for Financial Studies” and mail the payment to:
